Do you sell on Amazon?

What is the shelf life of your bags?

Our bags have a shelf life of 12-18 months if stored properly in a cool, dry place. Over time, they will naturally start to degrade, even without being exposed to composting environments.

Can your bags be used in both home and industrial composting?

Our bags are certified for industrial composting and will also degrade in landfill environments, but they are not certified for home composting. Home composting conditions often don’t reach the temperatures necessary for our bags to break down. Only bags that are certified as "home compostable" can safely break down in home composting systems. Look for certifications like "OK Compost HOME" or "TÜV AUSTRIA" to ensure the material will break down in a home system.

What makes your products different from other compostable bags?

Our bags are made from used coffee grounds, creating a fully circular, zero-waste product. Unlike corn starch-based compostables, which require growing and harvesting corn, our bags repurpose waste materials that would otherwise end up in a landfill.

Where can I dispose the bags if there are no industrial composting facilities nearby?

If industrial composting isn’t available in your area, you can still dispose of the bags in a landfill. The bags are designed to degrade more quickly than plastic in landfill conditions, minimizing environmental harm.

Can your bags be customized for businesses?

Yes, we offer custom branding options for businesses looking to incorporate our compostable bags into their operations. Whether you need carry-out bags, trash liners, or pet waste bags, we can help you promote sustainability while showcasing your brand.

Shipping questions

Do you offer free shipping?

We are delighted to provide free standard shipping on all domestic orders exceeding $20! For orders under $20, a nominal shipping rate will be calculated at checkout.

What are your shipping methods?

It usually takes about 1-3 business days to pack up and ship your order. It is sent via USPS or UPS and takes approximately 2-5 business days to arrive.

What if I need to make changes to my shipping address?

If any changes to your shipping address are required post-purchase, please promptly contact us via email at support@thecoffeebarn.eco.

Do you ship internationally?

We are actively working to extend our shipping services to international locations and will keep our valued customers updated on the progress.

Returns questions

I am not fully satisfied. Can I get a refund?

If you are not fully satisfied with your purchase, unused items can be returned within 30 days of receipt for a refund. Please contact our team at support@thecoffeebarn.eco, and we will guide you through the refund process. Refunds will be processed to the original method of payment within 7-10 business days after receiving the returned items.

Can I edit/cancel my order?

Although we’re unable to edit the contents of your order after it’s been placed, we can often help you cancel your order completely depending on how far along your order is in the packaging process. 

Please note: Once an order has been fulfilled and shipped by our warehouse, we cannot cancel the order.
